The 2009 Scholastic Book Fair Is Coming!!!!

~NOVEMBER 30th-DECEMBER 11th~
SPECIAL LATE HOURS: Thursday, December 3rd and Tuesday, December 8th until 7:30pm!!!

SIX PIX!

SIX PIX is the 6th Grade Reading Program.  6th grade students of the previous year pick their favorite books they have read during their time as an HHP 6th grader.  These choices are used to make an awesome selection for the rising 6th graders!

How it works…

*     Students must choose AT LEAST 4 of the TOP PICKS OR Virginia Reader’s Choice books to read over the course of the year.

*     Students must also read one Nonfiction book of choice and one Biography of choice.

(That makes 6 books altogether!)

*     For every 10 books read you achieve a free paperback book!

*     The Language Arts period (per team) that reads and shows comprehension of the most books (per capita) at the cut off date wins a Pizza Party!

*     Participation in Six Pix also counts towards the Language Arts Grade.

*     Students must pass an Accelerated Reader test for each book read to show proof of reading.

*     See below for how to Double Dip!
